Project Description:

NetCity was retained by the Information Technology Agency (ITA) to advise on a wide range of telecommunications strategic issues, including policy, technology and organizational structure and to create an overall five-year strategic plan for telecommunications. NetCity was also asked to prepare a five-year strategic plan for the Los Angeles Fire Department, evaluate and advise on the Los Angeles Infrastructure Report Card, review and evaluate the I-NET options for the City's Cable Franchising Division, review public safety communications investment and management, and provide research on Wi-Fi initiatives across the Country. NetCity was also asked to advise on the potential for VoIP and expansion of the municipal broadband fiber network.
